Savannah

My daughter is graduating high school in just about two months (ack!) and so we took a trip this weekend to check out a school she is interested in... Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). The school tour is tomorrow. We arrived this morning and went to the UU Church here. It was an interesting experience. Parking is an issue here, so we parked a couple of blocks away from the church. The streets and sidewalks and squares are so pedestrian friendly. We lunched at Firefly Cafe, then drove around the historic district in search of our bed & breakfast. Savannah is a beautiful city! Once we found the place and our room was finally ready, we ascended two flights of stairs toe the Yellow Room and took an afternoon nap (the hotel in Metter we stayed at last night, some of the guests had dogs in their cars and the dogs started barking at 5:30 local time, which is 4:30 Nashville time). After our wonderful snooze (two hours!), we walked down to Broughton St. and dinnered at Fuddruckers. I can not say enough about the walking atmosphere and how pleasant this city is. I'm looking forward to our tour tomorrow. Our family will definitely have to visit here, event if the girl doesn't decide to attend SCAD.

¡Hasta pronto, mis amigos!
